Drumconrath Parish Bulletin

18th. Sept. 2011

25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Often we are small and petty in the ways we think and act. Fortunately for us there is nothing small or petty about God. His ways are as high above our ways as the heavens are above the earth. Let us, therefore, ask forgiveness for our smallness of heart, while at the same time opening ourselves to the goodness of God.

First Reading:

As high as the heavens are above the earth, so high are God's ways above ours ways.

Second Reading:

Writing from prison, Paul is thinking of his death, and longing for complete union with God.

This is a story about the generosity of God, which soars above human standards.
