Third Sunday in Lent
In today's Gospel we read about the moving encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman.
During it Jesus told her about the gift God wanted to give her - the gift he called 'living water'.
Here we encounter Jesus and he offers us the same gift. Let us dispose ourselves to receive the 'gift of God'.
First Reading:
Despite their ingratitude,God shows his care for his people by providing water for them in the desert.
Second Reading:
God has proved his extraordinary love for us by the fact Christ died for us while we were still sinners.
Gospel:
This tells the story of Jesus' touching encounter with a Samaritan woman.
